Taxes & Customs Fees
For our customers in the USA:
Most packages with a declared value that is under $2000 USD will be cleared without any fees.
For our customers in Australia:
Orders below $1000 AUD are regarded as 'low value imports' by Australian customs. As of 01 July 2018, customs duties may apply to any goods imported from overseas by consumers in Australia. For more information please visit the Australian customs website.
For our customers in Canada:
Orders above $20 CAN require that you pay the applicable duties and the GST. For more information please visit the Canadian customs website.
For our customers in the European Union (EU):
When importing goods from non-European Union countries, including Japan, the following rules apply:
VAT (Value Added Tax):
All goods imported into the EU are subject to VAT, regardless of their value. The VAT rate applied depends on the country of delivery.
Customs Duties:
Goods valued below €150 are exempt from customs duties.
Goods valued above €150 may be subject to customs duties, which are calculated based on the product type and its declared value.
In some cases, additional handling or administrative fees may be charged by the courier or postal service for customs clearance.

For our customers in the United Kingdom (UK):
When importing goods from outside the UK, including Japan, the following rules apply:
1. Value Added Tax (VAT):
VAT is collected by UK customs upon importation, and the buyer is responsible for paying it upon delivery.
2. Customs Duties:
Goods worth more than £135:
You may have to pay customs duties, which are calculated based on the type and value of the goods.
3. Additional Fees:
Courier companies may charge handling fees for processing customs clearance.
Please note that while we collect VAT on orders worth £135 or less, any additional costs, such as customs duties and handling fees, are the customer's responsibility. For more detailed information, please visit the UK government's website on tax and duty.
For our customers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE):
When importing goods from Japan to the UAE, the following regulations apply:
Customs Duty:
A standard customs duty rate of 5% is applied to most goods. This is calculated based on the CIF value of the goods (Cost, Insurance, and Freight).
Some goods may be exempt or subject to different rates.
Value Added Tax (VAT):
A 5% VAT is applied to imported goods.
VAT is calculated on the total amount, including the value of the goods, insurance, freight, and customs duty.
Additional Fees:
There may be handling or administrative fees charged by courier or postal services for customs clearance.
