Collection: Horii Shichimeien

Founded in 1879, Horii Shichimeien has a long-standing tradition of producing premium Uji tea. Located in the Yamashiro region, nestled between the Uji and Kizu rivers, the company meticulously selects the finest tea leaves grown in this historic area. Horii Shichimeien takes pride in its connection to the "Uji Shichimeien" (Seven Famous Tea Gardens of Uji), established by the Ashikaga Shogunate during the Muromachi period. Today, Horii Shichimeien is the sole remaining active tea garden among the original seven, specifically the "Okunoyama" tea garden. As both tea cultivators and artisans, Horii Shichimeien is dedicated to preserving the heritage of Uji tea while delivering exceptional quality to tea lovers around the world.
