Authentic Gyokuro from Tsuboichi

Experience the true essence of gyokuro from Tsuboichi. The tea leaves are carefully roasted by a fire-roaster to bring out the original aroma and flavour of gyokuro, and then laid down slowly in a warehouse to produce this tea.

Good tea!

I haven't had gyokuro before, but I have had sencha, and I enjoyed that a lot. I decided to order from Tsuboichi because of it's competitive price, and I'm glad to say that it's relatively low pricepoint does not take away from the flavor at all! It has a very generic green tea flavor in a good way, it is subtly sweet and not at all bitter or astringent -- mine had a few bitter notes because I forgot to set my timer, but even then the flavor and the aroma was wonderful. It's easy to drink with a flavor that's easy to appreciate, even if you don't usually drink green tea; I've felt energized all day after my morning cup, too, so it might be worth checking out if you're trying to make the swap from coffee. Definitely recommended!
