Kirihara no Shiro (Ceremonial Matcha)
A refined koicha (thick tea) personally selected by Kōshin Sōkei Sōshō, master of the Enshū school.
Kirihara no Shiro is a high-grade ceremonial matcha created for formal tea gatherings in the Enshū-ryū tradition. This blend offers a harmonious balance of richness and elegance, featuring a deep umami, subtle sweetness, and a clean, smooth finish. The name “Kirihara,” evoking misty groves or fog-covered plains, reflects the quiet refinement and aesthetic sensitivity central to Enshū-style tea.
Its soft bitterness and vivid green color make it ideal for koicha, where its depth of character can be fully appreciated. Kirihara no Shiro is well-suited for experienced tea practitioners and ceremonial use, particularly within the refined and graceful spirit of the Enshū school.
